Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s third child arrived on Monday, Jan. 15, at 12:47 a.m., and was delivered via surrogate. The new addition joins older siblings North, 4, and Saint, 2.
Kim confirmed the news on her website, writing, “Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl. We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care. North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister.”
The baby weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces at birth. In comparison, Saint weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce, while North weighed 4 pounds, 15 ounces (Kimye’s firstborn arrived about five weeks early). The beauty mogul previously revealed that her placenta accreta, the potentially life-threatening condition she suffered through during both of her pregnancies, was one of the reasons she opted to use a surrogate for baby No. 3.
