He is part of the seventy-first generation of kora players in his family. His family has just as long of a heritage in the oral tradition of jalis (sometimes spelled djeli), or griots, in his family. “Jali” is the Mandingo word for the repository musician and storyteller of Mande’s ancient oral tradition, transmitting history and culture from generation to generation, from father to son.

Akothee – Yuko Moyoni – 7
Akothee introduced her 6th single, ‘Yuko Moyoni’ on the 8th of July 2016. The Kenyan talented singer expresses the passion of love and diversity of culture with her unarguably African touching voice.

The Song was produced by a Kenyan Coastal Based Produce, Totti and the Video was Directed by Godfather Productions.

The song is the 9th in her soon to be released Album.

Navio – Njogereza – 6
“Njogereza” is full of traditional chanting and traditional instrumentation, musically directed by Paddy Man. With Unique on deck to make sure that Navio’s words were less street oriented with his luganda. A bonus on the most critically acclaimed UG Hip Hop album “The Chosen”.

The video was Directed by Shiloh and shot in the Entebbe Botanical Gardens with the aid of the Navcorp Films team.

It is an age old Ugandan story.
