Back track, May 2016, the news came out that Wizkid had signed R2bees, Efya and Mr Eazi to his label Starboy Worldwide. Spicing it up, one half of the R2bees duo Paedae aka Omar Sterling was made the president of the label.
Fast forward January 2018, There seems to be a disruption in the Starboy Worldwide Label! As it was initially, all signed artists signed to the label has removed the “Starboy” from their bio on all social media pages. Well only Efya has the Star Girl” mentioned on her Twitter bio.
The group R2bees closeness with the Starboy Worldwide label was well noticed in several public outing and socials posts that one cannot think otherwise weather there will ever be a disruption someday.
The president Paedae shouted out Wizkid on a song in his ‘Victory through Harmony’ mixtape and also featured him on the song ‘Exodus’ not forgetting collaboration on the hit-single ‘Tonight’.
Wizkid announcement on the night of the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards came to many Ghanaian as a shock and was a hot topic for discussion on many social media platforms then. At a time it wasn’t clear whether ‘Starboy Worldwide’ wass different from Wizkid’s ‘Star Boy’ which already had UK based Maleek Berry and Lagos iconic duo of Legendary Beatz on it.
Actual speculation started when Wizkid went to Ghana to perform at the AITEO CAF Awards night and left back to Nigeria same night and nothing on media pictured he met with his Label’s president Paedae. Infact, the last post Omar Sterling has on his IG was posted far back as December 2016.
With the upcoming Starboy AfroRepublik concert happening at the O2 Arena London, Mr Eazi features as the only label act billed to perform, not even the president (Paedade).

Questions fans would like to be answered; Is Paedae (Omar Sterling) no more the president of Starboy Worldwide? Or is the label dead on arrival already?
