Controversial musician Sister Deborah born Deborah Venessa Owusu has explained the reason behind recording a semi-nude music video.
She said as someone who likes to come up with creative concepts in her music career to challenge herself she thought it best to do such a video before her body starts getting all wrinkled.
“They say when you got it you flaunt it, so I have to do it before [things start sagging],” she told Joy News’ Rebecca Tweneboah.
The Uncle Obama hit-maker made the headlines once again after shared her naked photo with her many fans on Instagram last month.
In 2015, Sister Deborah tweeted a nude photo of herself lying in bed, a picture that went viral on social media and received lots of criticisms from her fans.
The pictures for her album FAKON Girl, Daughter of the son has gotten her many tongue-lashing.
But she said she does not think about the public backlash because her semi-nude pictures are not anything different from what girls undergoing the Dipo rites.
According to her, she is not about copying any international artiste’s style because what her concepts are unique and novel.
“We use the resources that we have and make sure the videos represent where we are from and who we are,” she said.
