Rapper Future thinks Jay Z wouldn’t be great today if 2Pac and Biggie were still alive. The ‘Where You At‘ rapper made the controversial statement during a hip-hop discourse with New York’s Hot 97 FM’s Ebro Darden.
Referring to Jay Z’s debut album ‘Reasonable Doubt’, Future said:
“Jay Z wasn’t great when Tupac and Biggie was alive,” It was Biggie, Tupac, Ice Cube. [Reasonable Doubt] wasn’t hot until [Tupac and Biggie] died.”
Before people would think Future is beefing Jay Z, he had to clear the air, saying he has nothing but respect for ‘Hov’….
“I’m saying at that time, [it wasn’t hot]. They always go back for your classic album. He clarified.
