Following the release of chart topping hits such as, ‘Taki Taki’ featuring Cardi B, Selena Gomez, and Ozuna, the album features many hot tracks that are sure to become club anthems. Fans will be receiving a collaboration-packed album with features from Burna Boy, 21 Savage, Tyga, Bryson Tiller, and Majid Jordan. “May this album be the soundtrack to your summer ‘19 and every summer after that” Snake shared via Facebook.

DJ Snake’s single, ‘Loco Contigo’ featuring American rapper, Tyga and Columbian Singer, J Balvin has already been certified a summertime banger, with a raw reggae-influenced sound and vocals in both Spanish and English.

“Carte Blanche means freedom to do whatever you want.” Snake explains, “That’s how I work. No formula to follow. I wanted to make a summer album with a mixtape feel, of all the sounds I want to hear in summer and I went to artists I knew could do exactly that’.

This notion pairs perfectly with the album’s cover art, ‘L’arc De Triomphe’. The album’s artwork is a picture of the left hand corner of the L’arc De Triomphe in Snake’s hometown, Paris. Completed in 1836, the structure is a global symbol of Freedom, Power, Resistance, and Peace. In September 2017, Snake DJ’d on top of the famous monument. He stood on a makeshift stage permeated with coloured lights. He was the first artist to ever play there and the concert was documented by Beats by Dre.

In 2013, DJ Snake broke into the electronic scene with singles such as, ‘Bird Machine’ and ‘Turn Down For What’ featuring Lil Jon. ‘Bird Machine’ was quickly picked up by Diplo’s record label Mad Decent. Snake was later signed to the renowned music label. He also signed a global deal with Interscope Records where he released his debut album ‘Encore’ featuring tracks such as, ‘Let Me Love You’ featuring Justin Bieber and ‘Middle’ featuring BiPolar Sunshine.

Since releasing ‘Encore’, he has achieved over 13 billion streams of his music, and is one of only 5 artists in the world to have 2 tracks with 1 billion streams each on Spotify. He played Coachella for the third time in 2019, one of only 6 artists to have played this many times. In 2019 he will play over 70 shows reaching over 7 million people.

Having an album packed full of some of the biggest names in music is sure to establish ‘Carte Blanche’ as one of the biggest releases of the summer.
