The success of “Black Panther,” and “Avengers: Infinity War,” has led Marvel Comics to start the development of its next comic books series.
According to reports, Marvel revealed that a new standalone comic about Black Panther’s sister Shuri is in the works. The new comic series will be available in October 2018 and will explore Shuri’s dilemma of choosing between helping to rule Wakanda or working in her lab.
According to Marvel’s official synopsis, “Shuri is happiest in a lab, surrounded by gadgets of her own creation. She’d rather be testing gauntlets than throwing them. But a nation without a leader is a vulnerable one — and Shuri may have to choose between Wakanda’s welfare and her own.”
Leonardo Romero will work on the comic’s art, while Nnedi Okorafor will write the series.
