Tanzanian singer Nandy’s dancers in road accident

A Coaster tour bus carrying Tanzanian singer Nandy’s band members and dancers was yesterday involved in an accident.

The bus which was among an entourage ferrying musician Willy Paul, Juma Nature, Whozu, Stamina, Nandy, Barnaba, Roma, Billnass and Ice Boy to the Nandy Festival Sumbawanga, is said to have overturned before coming to a stop.

According to Nandy’s manager, the bus that was involved in the accident only had the singer’s dancers and back up singers contrary to earlier reports claiming Nandy and Willy Paul were in it.

Luckily no deaths have been reported and the injured were taken to Mikumi Hospital with the tour expected to resume today.

“Basi lililopata ajali kwenye msafara kuelekea Nandy Festival Sumbawanga lilikua limebeba Wapiga Band na Dancers na sio Wasanii, mpaka sasa Majeruhi wako Hospitalini Mikumi, hakuna kifo na safari inatarajiwa kuendelea asubuhi.

The singer took to Instagram to thank God and assure her fans that the team was okay. “Tunamshukuru mungu tuko salama,” she wrote.

The accident came just days after an electrifying performance at the second edition of Choma Na Ngoma by Willy Paul and Nandy that Kenyans will not be getting over anytime soon with many wondering if Willy Paul is still a gospel artist.
