Daddy Yo is an artiste with good track record of having good collaborations with foreign artistes, thereby putting Africa on the map.
Tanzanian songstress and artiste is also beauty to behold. Vanessa Mdee will get you to your feet with her sizzling performance when she rocks the stage, she gives the men a run for their money. Her videos are colorful and very interesting to watch that’s while ‘Kisela’ featuring Mr. P is viewed over 1.8 million times on YouTube.She’s being followed by over 1,615 fans on Deezer as well. The Tanzanian sensation has featured on most trending music videos by various top African artists such as Ice Prince ‘No mind Them’, Reekado Banks ‘Move’ and she nailed it with her smooth loving personality.
South African entertainment scene can’t be ignored when it comes to putting the African continent on the map. AKA is looked upon by various upcoming artistes as a role model making an impact and creating a niche for himself, his music video ‘The world is yours’ is one of the most streamed in Africa with over 2.3 million views, closely followed by ‘Caiphus song’ having over 1.7 million views. His follower-ship on Deezer is a surprise package as he’s interestingly followed by over 154,065 fans. Aka’s upcoming concert is also said to have sold out!
Mama Africa in her own world of Afro compartment gives us a wave from her strong and unflinching vibrant personality that captivates on sight. The year so far has been eventful for her with high youtube views from her high definitive collaborations from A-Listers like Falz on ‘Single & Searching’ with over 2.1 million views, her street anthem ‘Knack Am’ also has gained over 2.1 million views. The King of Queens herself has become the African woman’s peep into the world of creative material patterned style. She’s also crazily followed by 94,335 fans on deezer alone; numbers don’t lie because she’s also smiling to the bank with lots of endorsement deals on her name.
Arguably the artiste who rocked 2017 with major hits in Ghana, also the most searched artist in Ghana as well bagging back to back awards is Shatta Wale. Shatta Wale is Ghanaian king of Dance hall as he displays in his ‘Taking Over’ music video which gained him massive recognition with over 5.5million views on YouTube. His collaborative uniqueness can’t be over looked when he kicked off the year singing ‘Hosana’ featuring Nigerian super star Burna Boy with over 2.5 million views also on YouTube.
