Jamaican Reggae Singer Tarrus Riley In Kenya For The World Rally Championship

Jamaican singer is in Kenya for the hyped World Rally Championship Safari Rally Weekend in Naivasha.

The singer along with a host of other local artists is expected to perform at Koroga Festival over the weekend.

The four-day festival, which is being hosted at The Gardens, started on Thursday and will conclude on Sunday.

“Kenya remains dear to my heart and career. My first visit to Africa was to Kenya and from then till now I’ve grown such love for the people of Kenya. I thank the Organizers of the Koroga Festival for deeming me fit to be the first non-African act to headline this great festival,” he said on arrival.

Riley has been in Kenya a few times now

Tens of thousands of Kenyans are expected to head to Naivasha starting today for the WRC event.

The rally event not only attracts local revealers but also pulls grounds from as far as Russia and Australia who all come to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the country alongside the racing event.

WRC is currently ongoing in Naivasha

This year’s Koroga Festival, according to project director Farida Idris, will be about honouring President Uhuru Kenyatta who has a few days left in his last term.
