The ‘Mama’ crooner got the award for Best Pop Act with his hit single, ‘Mama’ off his album, ‘New Era’ at the Soundcity MVP 2016; beating Wizkid, Tekno, Yemi Alade, Adekunle Gold, Timaya and Tiwa Savage.
