Contrary to a video circulating online which shows Naira Marley going into a private car and captions suggesting that he has been released, he is to be remanded in prison.
A source in the EFCC said the video was mere propaganda by friends of the musician who are desperate to launder his image as the EFCC has handed him over to the prison services to be remanded until his bail hearing on the 30th.
The Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos on Monday ordered that Nigeria singer be remanded in prison until May 30th when the hearing of his bail application will take place.
Naira Marley was charged to court at the behest of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on 11 count charge bordering on cybercrime, possession of counterfeit cards and conspiracy to obtain gain.
