Scoring his 40th Top 40 hit on Billboard‘s Hot 100 list, Kanye West has just officially beat out one of his influences in music, the legendary Michael Jackson, who has 39.
West’s feature on Schoolboy Q‘s “THat Part” off of his Blank Face LP is what secured his spot in the Top 10 of Billboard’s list of men with the most Top 40 visits. As for Q, this is his second top 40 hit on the Hot 100, following up his single “Studio” featuring BJ the Chicago Kid.
The list now, dating back to the Hot 100’s inception on Aug. 4, 1958, according to Billboard, is as follows:
80, Elvis Presley
69, Lil Wayne
57, Elton John
53, Drake
46, Stevie Wonder
