Music producer and singer, Samklef, who recently signed a deal with Akon’s KonLive Distribution and KES Entertainment Record Label, a joint venture partnership with KonLive, En-Treeg and Simcol Entertainment has responded to K-Solo interview where he described Samklef’s two-year production deal with KonLive as “a deal that is not real”. He spoke to SOUNDCITY and read excerpt of the interview below:
When our team contacted him (Samklef) in respect to that he said;
‘I just wanna thank God first off. I just came back from the states like few months back to promote my new single, ‘Philo’ after my official new deal with KonLive Records, Akon and I just wanna thank God because everything is going well’.
He also, hinted on working on a new Album which according to him;
‘I’m working towards my Album called ‘Gratitude’ which is dropping next year’.
On K-solo’s recent interview where he said Samklef’s ‘deal is not real’
‘ I was just watching a video and I saw where K Solo wasn’t asked a question about me and he was questioning my deal with Akon; saying my deal was this n that. I felt like this guy is one hater who keep hating on other people’s success. I know him way back and he has not changed and that’s the reason no one is talking with him right now. To me it’s just jealousy. Why would he even call my name in an interview when they didn’t ask him a damn about me? Anyway, we are moving on to the future, not dwelling in the past’.
On further chat with the superstar, when we asked on what he feels about the Nigeria music expansion into the USA market, here is what he had to say;
“We are the next big thing, our sound is rich and everybody wants to tap from it”. Went on to comment on the recent success of his blossom friend Wizkid, saying fans can be expecting another hit collaboration from both of them since the last they made Molowo Noni featuring Ice Prince & D’Prince. Just that ‘Time’ hasn’t been on the best to make it happen now. Claimed they are still 100% and cool.
