Future Has Eight Songs on BillBoard Hot100 In A Single Week

With his eponymous FUTURE debuting atop the Billboard 200 album chart, the Atlanta rapper is now officially on his way to scoring the back-to-back No. 1 albums he so clearly seeks to achieve. Released just this past Friday, his subsequent R&B-centric album HNDRXX is already tracking for the top slot next week according to Billboard.

Future has already officially reached a career milestone on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, with eight simultaneous songs featuring there this week.

Of those eight tracks, five appear on FUTURE, namely “Draco” (No. 46), “Mask Off” (No. 49), “Rent Money” (No. 54), “Super Trapper” (No. 91) and “Zoom” (No. 99). These placements follow a now-familiar pattern of big album releases, particularly those from the hip-hop world, yielding hits off of Billboard’s multi-metric consumption model that considers both streams and individual track purchases in its chart calculus.

Two of the remaining three tracks are Future features. Positioned at No. 23 in its second charting week, Maroon 5’s “Cold” marks the highest placement of the eight this week. Also in its second week is Ariana Grande’s “Everyday” at No. 78. The recent release of a meme-worthy music video for that track will likely give it a boost in the next Hot 100 frame.

Now in its sixteenth week, Future’s “Used To This” endures at No. 67, down only 7 positions from the prior week. The Drake-featuring cut is meant to appear on the Beast Mode 2 mixtape, though release details of the Zaytoven-produced release have not yet been revealed.
