It’s Valentine’s Day and NBA All-Star Weekend, Us based Nigerian act Wale reflects on love and basketball with his latest release, “All Star Break Up.”
Accompanied by an acoustic guitar, Mr Folarin waxes poetic about a heartbreaker who loves NBA players so much that she dumps her non-ballin’ boos right before the All-Star Game, which will take place this weekend in Los Angeles.
The track also features a reference to Rihanna’s massively successful cosmetics line. “I spend so much at Fendi / She know I’m cool with Robyn, she bother me for the Fenty.”
If Wale is working on a new album, it will be his sixth full-length following last year’s Shine.
