Camila Cabello Readies Debut Album for January. The 20-year-old “Havana” hit-maker announced on Instagram that her self-titled debut album will drop early next year, and revealed its sultry cover art on Tuesday. Camila looks stunning in the pic – wearing a white and orange floral crop top with a matching skirt.
In a letter to her “Camilizers,”
“…. my debut album is finally finished. now i’m trying to steady my heartbeat!!!!!!! thank you for being so patient with me this year, i can’t wait for you to hear what has been the soundtrack to the past year of my life… all of these songs have special memories behind them, and i’m not gonna lie, it feels emotional letting them go, feels like the end of a chapter… i decided to call it by my name, because this is where this chapter in my life ended. it started with somebody else’s story, it ended with me finding my way back to myself.
my album is gonna be available for pre order this Thursday, and i’m putting out two instant grat tracks with it…. one is called never be the same, and one is called real friends.
it’s in your hands January 12 🦋”
In May, Cabello dropped two tracks as part of her album, “Crying in the Club” and “I Have Questions.” Only the former made it to the Hot 100, peaking at No. 47, and it is unclear whether either will make the tracklisting.
In August, Camila released two new singles, the Quavo-assisted “OMG” and “Havana” featuring Young Thug. While “OMG” peaked at No. 81, the latter soared as high as No. 2, where it remains in its 16th week of availability.
Camila is available for pre-order on Thursday (Dec. 7) featuring the instant grat tracks “Never Be the Same” and “Real Friends.”
