Guinness World Records presented the acclaimed singer with awards for two new records: the most streamed album on Spotify in one year, current (unique listeners) and the most consecutive weeks in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 100 by a male solo artist. The Weeknd achieved these honors through the incredible success of his 2015 album Beauty Behind the Madness which went triple platinum.

Beauty Behind the Madness was streamed by 60 million unique listeners on Spotify between Dec. 1, 2014 and Dec. 1, 2015 to secure a spot as the world record. The Weeknd’s hit single “Can’t Feel My Face” amassed an astonishing 448,334,867 streams alone by Jan. 13, 2016.

The Weeknd earned the second record by spending 45 consecutive weeks in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 between March 7, 2015 and Jan. 9, 2016. The Toronto native maintained his position with the help of three singles: “Earned It” (March 7 – July 4, 2015), the aforementioned “Can’t Feel My Face” (July 11 to Nov. 14, 2015) and “The Hills” (Aug. 1 and Aug. 29, 2015 to Jan. 9, 2016).
