Jhene Aiko Divorces Dot Da Genius Months After Kissing Big Sean

Aug 12, 2016 |

Jhene Aiko and Dot Da Genius are getting a divorce.

The couple’s marriage is coming to an end after 11 months according to TMZ. Aiko has listed irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split in the divorce papers. She’s also seeking to deny Dot any spousal support.
The divorce comes just a few months after Jhene Aiko and Big Sean sparked rumors of a relationship by kissing onstage at Power 106’s Powerhouse event. The two have been seen acting pretty affectionate toward each other on social media which only added fuel to fire of dating rumors.
The marriage of Jhene Aiko and Dot Da Genius was kept under wraps for a long time. The public got their first confirmation of the relationship back in March when Dot wrote about his wife’s birthday on Instagram. A since deleted Instagram post included a picture of the couple’s wedding ceremony.
“Happy Birthday to my gorgeous wife,” the Kid Cudi collaborator wrote at the time. “Happy to be on this quest [with] you!”
The confidential nature of Jhene Aiko and Dot Da Genius’ marriage made the speculation of Aiko dating Big Sean even more confusing. Aiko and Sean have been seen being flirtatious on social media for the last couple of months. Earlier this year, the two released the album Twenty88 as a duo. It appears their musical collaboration may have turned into a romantic relationship.
