Drake Gets a Denzel Washington Tattoo

Drake is not stopping anytime in paying respect to icons through tatoos. Drake who had previouly tattoed Aaliyah, Lil Wayne, and Sade tattoos, has added Denzel Washington to his list.

Toronto tattoo artist Inal Bersekov, who regularly tattoos the 30-year-old rapper, uploaded two new designs on his Instagram on Sunday (September 17) noting that it was still unfinished. According to Bersekov, this was only after the first session of the portrait, which is of Washington as Bleek Gilliam in the 1990 Spike Lee film, Mo’ Better Blues.

He Wrote;
“‘Mo’ better blues’ first session on my brother @champagnepapi , thanks as usual for your trust. ‘Clarke: ‘Cause mo better makes it mo better’ @denzelwashington1 @officialdenzel,” he wrote.

But Drake didn’t stop with the Denzel artwork. In fact, he also commissioned Bersekov for a portrait of his late friend Fif, who was recently killed. The miniature piece features the words “FOREVER FIF” above it on Drizzy’s bicep.

On Friday, Drake also offered some words about his fallen OVO affiliate:

“RIP to one of our family members…our brother,” he wrote. “I still can’t even believe this morning was real. It was a honor to have shared years together and I will always keep your memory alive 😔Forever Fif.”

Inal uploaded a second design: a portait of the late Fif, a member of Drake’s OVO Sound family who tragically died days ago.
