New Music – Rotimo – ‘Best Thing Ever’ and ‘Family’

‘Best Thing Ever’ and ‘Family’ will both be available on all major digital download/streaming sites from 13th February 2017. It is a fusion of Afrobeats and R&B with the latter taking centre stage in the production and a balance of African/English lyrics as Rotimo tells his lover there’s nothing in the world better than she is. Family is a feel-good mid-tempo mix that also leads with RnB but with sprinkles of Afropop from start to finish. Here, Rotimo expresses his desire to take things to the next level with his lover and start a family.


Over the years, Rotimo has developed his craft as a singer, songwriter, and performer in the UK. From penning his own music, to leading an underground UK funk band, and organising his own headline concerts, he has been carving out a niche for himself. His previous single, ‘For The Ladies’ got him into people’s consciousness as a rising star; earning him the number 1 spot on a couple of Nigerian and UK radio music charts.


His latest singles are released in the lead up to a series of singles from him on his Extended Play (EP) album project due later in the year.
